50 Years in Ghana (1955 – 2005)

Congratulations to our fellow members and chelas in Ghana on the Golden Jubilee Celebration of TSS in Ghana. This is an achievement that speaks to the dedication, strength and courage of the Society and its leaders. I am honored and excited to have been asked to be part of this wonderful and momentous occasion.

Our founder and Guru Dr. Hugh Greer Carruthers would be proud.

Doctor counted among his major accomplishments the introduction of Theological Science Society to Gold Coast of West Africa (now Ghana). In the early 1950s , Emmanuel Kwesi Essel, came into possession of one of Doctor’s Lessons and requested Fellowship in the Society. In a short time, monthly Lessons were being shipped to 350 Africans. Emmanuel came to the United States in 1955 to meet Doctor and received instructions on the operation and formal establishment of the Society in what was later the new country of Ghana. By 1960 the Ghana membership had grown to 5,000, including two of the nation’s former Heads of State .

The future of Theological Science Society is secure in the good and capable hands of your Grand Sovereign M.J Kwansah and the Board of Trustees of TSS Ghana Branch.
